STOCKHOLM

Tomorrow I will be going to Stockholm to go shopping, and then go see Rihanna's concert. On Tuesday I'm going to Gröna Lund, and then I'm going home in the evening. Perrrfect two days. When I'm coming home I'm having a big surprise for ya!

I first heard this song on the radio while I was working, and I've grown to love it. All I miss is that I can't find the lyrics anywhere... It's important to me since I can't quite hear everything that she sings in the verses haha.

The Storage Issue

Yesterday I solved the "storage issue". I got these two beautiful glasses at Åhléns, one for my face brushes and one for my eye brushes. I'd seen similar glasses at a couple of different blogs, so I was very pleased when I saw these on the shelf. I'm thinking about buying four more, so that I have a full set in case I don't want to use them as storage anymore, haha.

I've Got A Brand New Hairdo

MAC + EcoTools

The thing that I found in Gothenburg was the MAC 168 brush! You might remember in May, when I was in Stockholm, I was looking for it. But every store in the city were out of it and therefore I got the 217 brush instead. So when I found it at Åhléns City in Gothenburg, I obviously couldn't resist buying it.

While still on the west coast, we also visited Ullared. Ullared isn't really my cup of tea, but the fact that they sell EcoTools brushes made me slightly more interested. I got the 6 Piece Brush Set and the Powder brush. I'm actually not sure if they are authentic, because of the colour of the aluminium and the fact that they were 50 percent of the usual price. But at the same time - why would anyone make copies of brushes that are so cheap to begin with? Plus the quality seems fine, and they are super soft.

My one problem is the storage. Right now I have all of my brushes in a bowl. But since I've almost doubled my amount of brushes, it doesn't really fit anymore. I'm hopefully going to solve it tomorrow, though (:

RIP Cory Monteith

I got home on Saturday evening. I got an e-mail from Interscobe saying that Lady Gaga had announced a release date for her single, album and app release. I've been waiting for that day for such a long time, so I just started to giggle (that's what I do when I get really happy about something...). But yesterday, something happened that made me sadder than I thought anything like this would ever make me. I got a message from one of my friends saying that Cory Monteith was dead. At first I thought she was kidding with me, but then I went on Twitter and saw that it was true. After that I couldn't stop thinking about it. Thinking about how Lea, and everyone else who were close to him must feel. I obviously didn't know him. I like Glee, but I wouldn't call myself a Gleek. But it still saddens me so much, because it's so tragic. I didn't feel like doing anything at all yesterday, and I've partly been like that today as well. It's very rare that I get this emotional about someone that I don't even know that much about. Maybe because it was so sudden and unexpected. Well, I just wanted to tell you why I haven't updated.

May him rest in peace.

WEST COAST, BABY

I'm on the west coast! Today I spent the day in Gothenburg. I ate lunch at a cafe called Condeco, and I had a greek salad and a fantastic ice chai latte. When I was at Åhléns City I found something that I've been looking for for the longest time! Can anyone guess what it is?

DALARNA

Friday was my last day working, so now I'm finally on summer vacation! We're touring through Sweden in our caravan, and right now I'm in Dalarna. It's really beautiful, and I'm trying my best to take photos to show you. I hope everyone of you have a good vacation! xx

Happy 4th of July America!

Happy 4th of July! I baked a pie in honor of this day, which I failed miserably with. The crusting looks horrible, there wasn't enough white chocolate nor berries, and worst of all: The vanilla cream got burned. Arghh! I usually never fail with my pies, unless I forget them in the oven.  But it was my first time doing a pie like this, so I forgive myself. And it's the effort that counts, right?

Time for last month's favorites!

Dove Summer Glow
I like to use this once a week, to enchance my natural skin colour. It makes you look slightly more tanned, and a bit more glowy. If you want more of a tan, use it more often. I have naturally fair skin, and I think it looks unnatural on me if I use it too often.

Make Up Store Tri Brow
I've used this product for about a year, and I've always loved it. But recently I started using it slightly differently, and now I love it even more! I used to only use the lightest colour, all over the brow. Now I use the lightest colour on the thicker parts of my brow, and then I use the slightly darker colour on the thinner parts. Since the thinner parts are naturally lighter, I need a darker shade to get the same colour that I get with a lighter colour on the thicker parts.

Max Factor Max Effect Mini Nail Polish in 01 "Ivory"
This is a great, cheap nail polish! It dries very quickly, and it lasts a long time. This colour is gorgeous, and I've been wearing it non-stop since I bought it.

Marc Jacobs Daisy Eau So Fresh
I love this perfume so much. It's definitely my favorite perfume that I've ever had. It's got a nice floral scent, and it fits every single occasion perfectly.

Iggy Azalea - "Work"
This is definitely my song of the month, along with Miley Cyrus' "We Can't Stop".

DENIM IS DEAD

Got these two pairs of jeans from Denim is Dead from the sale at JC. They fitted perfectly, so let's just hope that they will stay that way. Most of my jeans don't...

DAYDREAM

A few months ago I got myself a sleeping mask from Daydream. I wasn't sure if I was going to like it, so I just got the cheapest one. Now, I can barely sleep without it. It's basically daylight 24/7 during the summer in Sweden, which I hate. But now I don't have to be bothered with that anymore! Does anyone else own a sleeping mask?

LUNCH TIPS

Lately, when I've gotten home from work, it's been really hot. On days like that I really don't feel like eating anything warm, so instead I've been eating different salads. Today I used quinoa (boiled, of course), some lettuce mix, cucumber, pepper and black olives. Then I make a dressing with lemon, olive oil, salt and pepper, that I pour over the quinoa. I was really hungry when I got home, because it was past 2 PM and I hadn't eaten since 6.30 AM, so I also had a slice of ciabatta and my own homemade bread. And yes, I had lunch at my desk. It feels so lonely to eat alone at the table... (: xx

Change that pillow case!

One very easy thing that you can do to improve your skin is to change your sheets more often. Or at least, change your pillow cases. I think that you should change the pillow case that you sleep on the most (if you're like me, you have that one, favorite pillow that you always sleep on) at least once a week. The more frequently, the better. But once a week is okay.

Tonight I went out to eat dinner with my family. I just did my regular, everyday makeup (which is basically nuffin'). Since I've never shown you that before, I thought it was time I'd do. Foundation from Max Factor, brow powder from Make Up Store, mascara from Lancome and lip balm from Burt's Bees. I might use other lip products, or use something else, but this is what I always use. I also always use different perfumes, but today i used this one from Versace. I always enjoy seeing what other people use, so I hope you do too.

Scrubbing tips

The reason that I'm doing this post, is because I know that a lot of people scrub. Every. Single. Day. Especially their faces. And that's not particularly good. Remember that you're scubbing off a thin layer of skin, and there's no need to do that every day. My skin therapist have told me to scrub my face once or twice a week, and that's enough. You also need to be a lot more gentle when you scrub your face, compared to scrubbing your body, because the skin on your face is a lot more sensitive. Just let your hands glide over the skin, and let the scrub do the rest of the job. The last thing that I want to tell you is that scrubbing makes your skin more prone to UV damage. Some people say that you should never scrub if you're going to be out in the sun. I'm not sure if it's that harmful, but I definitely think you should be aware of it and remember to always wear sunscreen if you're going to be outside a lot.

DIY: Sugar Scrub

I'm sorry for not posting anything for days. This week I've graduated 9th grade, which is kind of a big thing in Sweden. So I've been busy getting ready and going to parties, graduation ceremonies, etc. To make it up to you I thought I'd share a quick tip. Sundays are always my pampering days. One of the things that I like to do is scrubbing. It's really easy to make your own sugar scrub. All you need is:

- Sugar
- Olive oil
- A jar

Then all you have to do is to mix the two ingredients in the jar, until you get the consistency that you want. Tadaa! Tomorrow I'll be making a post about some things you should think about when scrubbing.

I've been wanting a real leather jacket for years, but I hadn't found anyone that I really like, which is very important since a leather jacket basically lasts you forever. But then Jofama released this beauty in their collection with Marie Serneholt. I wished for it for my birthday, and as you can see, I got it. I've been wearing it almost every day since, ha. xx

NEW LAMP

I've been looking for a lamp to have on my bedside table, and a few days ago I finally found one. I got this at Mio. The base is from a brand called By Rydéns, and the shade is from Eightmood. What do you think about it?

Just hangin'

I had been looking after a necklace like this since what felt like forever, then I finally found this at Gina Tricot. When I got home I realized that I have no real place for jewelry, except for my little box that I showed you, so it just ended up hanging here. It fits pretty good there, doesn't it? xx

Today I don't feel like doing anything

Today has been a lazy day. I've just been laying outside in the sun reading and in the afternoon I got a painful facial (that was my own fault. But it's worth it). Tonight I've been even more lazy, lying in bed, making a shopping list and then watching Keeping Up With The Kardashians. This season's first episode is hilarious. While watching I had something to drink, and a brownie (: xx

I thought I'd start doing some monthly favorites! These are my May ones.

Lernberger Stafsing BB Cream You might remember when I got this? I wrote in that post that I was going to use it mainly as a heat protectant. What I like about this product is that it does not weigh my hair down. And it does not make it feel dry, nor greasy. I don't feel like my hair has become more damaged since I started using this, which must mean that the heat protecting ingredients are doing their job.

Exuviance Rejuvenating Bionic Scrub I really love this scrub! My skin feels and looks so much smoother and softer after using this. It's is only a sample size, but I will definitely purchase the full size one after I'm out of this.

Dove Pure Anti-Perspirant Roll-On This deodorant does not contain fragrance, parabens, colorants or alcohol. It's also the first deodorant in this price range that I've used during the last months, that has not irritated my skin, which I think is enough to make it worthy of being in this post.

Juicy Couture Viva la Juicy This is far from the only perfume that I've used this month, but it's definitely the one that I've reached towards the most often.

The Great Gatsby Last Saturday I went and saw The Great Gatsby with three of my friends, and now it's one of my all-time-favorite movies. I loved everything about it: the actors (if Leo doesn't get an Oscar for this I will explode!), the music (I mean, Lana Del Rey, Beyoncé, Florence and the Machine, Jay-Z and Kanye. Can it get any better?), the clothes, the scenery and most of all; the fact that it takes place in the 1920s, my favorite decade alongside with the 1960s. I'll be very much disappointed if the 2020s won't be known as "The roaring 20s", just like the 1920s.

It's My Birthday and I Do What I Want To

Today is my birthday! As you might understand from the text on the picture, I'm turning 16. In Sweden, turning 16 is not a big thing. It's not like you throw a big party, like a lot of people do in the US. The one big pro is that you finally get to practice driving a car! Which I did today. And it went good (((:. One of the things that I got was a new lens for one of my cameras, which I was trying out when I took this picture. What do you think?

Marc Jacobs for Coca Cola Light

As you might know, Coca Cola collaborates with a designer each year for their Coca Cola light bottles and cans. Last year it was Jean Paul Gaultier, and the year before that it was Karl Lagerfeld. This year it's Marc Jacobs. I've never gotten a hold of one before, so mind my surprise when I saw this one casually standing in the fridge at the store. Of course I couldn't leave without it. Most of you probably think I'm going crazy, obsessing over a bottle of Cola, but I just can't help it.

MAC 217 Blending Brush

Yesterday I was in Stockholm. The main thing that I was looking for was a nice dress, but unfortunately I didn't find a one that I liked. To comfort myself I went to the MAC counter at NK to get  MAC's 168 Contouring Brush, but they were out of it. They didn't have it at PUB or Åhléns City, either. I don't know if it's been discontinued or something? Whatever. Instead I got the 217 Blending Brush at PUB, which I've also wanted for a long time. And since I had a gift card, I didn't actually have to pay for it. Happy girl (':

If you follow my Twitter, you've probably seen that my favorite sunglasses broke about a week ago. I'd had them for years, and they were cheap, so it actually wasn't such a big loss. But whatever, I liked them. Since I was in need of a new pair, I bought these. I love that they have a slight cat eye, which I've wanted for two years now. I didn't want a full cat eye, my style is not that bold yet haha. Another great part about these sunglasses is the price. I got them at H&M and the price tag said 79 Swedish Crowns, which is cheap. But when I payed for them I found out they were on sale! So I actually got them for only 39 Swedish Crowns. What a bargain!

By the way, tomorrow I'm going to Stockholm. I haven't been there since March last year, so it'll probably be a lot of fun. There's a couple of thngs that I'm looking for, so hopefully I'll find at least some of them there.

Makeup tips for fuller looking lips

I saw this video, from makeup artist Lisa Eldridge, today and I think this is a very useful makeup tip. My upper lip is a bit thinner than my lower lip, so this is a great way for me to make them look more even. I hope you'll enjoy this as much as I did (: xx

I really love this colour on my nails! It's called "Waikiki Orange", and it's by Mavala. It was in a collection of theirs two years ago, but I googled it and it seems to still be available in some places, like BeautyBay.
